Happy New Year you wonderful event people! We’re so excited for the start of the year as well as this decade. We’re refreshed and energised for the year ahead after our little break away from the Luxe office. The Luxe team are ready for all your crazy event ideas and can’t wait to bring them to life! Here’s a run down of things to expect from the Luxe team this year!

Where did the year go? It just flew here at Active. We’ve been the busiest bees this year and it’s all thanks to you! We couldn’t have imagined how much we would get to do ~ but we did it, and we got to make some fabulous events happen with your creative visions and event planning prowess along the way.

We recently had the pleasure of being part of a very special (and dare I say super gorgeous) wedding in Melbourne. Lauren and Cam decided to tie the knot and say their nuptials at a stunning winery and estate just outside of Melbourne. Even though the bride was dressed in white, this wasn’t your mother’s traditional wedding. Let’s see how the script was flipped at this stunning wedding.

Arguably the most popular decorative object of all time is the classic chandelier. It’s stood the test of time and remains to be a status symbol of wealth, power and class. They were first used by our European ancestors by the end of the 9th century by the Church and due to its popularity and demand, castles and royal palaces sought out to replicate the look.

Originally designed by Sidney Myer for exclusive fashion parades and high society events, a wedding at Myer Mural Hall makes for a timeless and enchanting ever after. Art Deco in style and safeguarded by its heritage listing – Myer Mural Hall is a Melbournian treasure. Past visitors to Myer Mural Hall have ranged from royalty and government officials to private families.

With River views and a dedicated pre-function area and statement built in bar, it was an easy choice for Mary + Michael to have their reception at Leonda by The Yarra. They decided to make use of the view of the Yarra river as their backdrop for their wedding table. A central dance floor was added to create an inviting affair for family and friends to party all night long on. Tall crisp white and green florals really set the tone of the venue and brought the greenery from outside along the Yarra and tied it all in with the venue space!

Bianca and Mike decided to choose the always gorgeous venue, Carousel. Located in Albert park, it boasts lakeside views and a sweeping veranda, perfect for heartfelt nuptials. It’s gorgeous shell flooring and white ceiling work makes for a perfect venue to host one of our chandeliers.

Hello there, 2019. It’s going to be a busy wedding season right off the bat. Luxe is under new management, the awesome people at Active Draping are now running this show here at Luxe Chandeliers. It’s going to be a fun year as we meet new people and show off our chandeliers in all your brilliant venues.
